THE 9th AUTUMN AUBERGINE

20th November 2011

It was a beautiful misty Autumn morning in late November when the Club convened for the fourth and final tournament of the year, the Autumn Aubergine. The sun broke through the mist during the match, however, and the last few holes were played in fine sunshine.

One new player arrived and we cut the long extension as has often happened in recent years, but there was very little wind and the course was playing straight and true. Nobody scored a hole in one, but there were numerous '2s' along the way.

Ben M was the winner of the Gentlemen's Aubergine (out of a field of two) and Alys beat three other Ladies to win another Aubergine. Congratulations!

We headed to the Edinboro Castle for some mulled wine. In all a very fine afternoon andwe all look forward to many more good rounds in 2012!
